Greg Oden admitted he was out of breath after his workout for the Portland Trail Blazers yesterday. By no means was the 7-footer coasting on his reputation. "Really, I'm trying to sell them on me, not the other way around," the center from Ohio State said after a vigorous solo workout. Oden is the favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick by the Trail Blazers June 28, but the team is also working out Texas forward Kevin Durant tomorrow. Peter Manfredo won a unanimous decision over David Banks in a 10-round super middleweight fight at Foxwoods Casino. All three judges scored the fight 97-93 for Manfredo, who came to prominence on the boxing reality television show "The Contender." Manfredo, from Providence, had problems getting anything going against Banks. Manfredo stunned his opponent a couple of times in the early rounds by faking to his left and coming over the top with a right hand. He even had Banks a little wobbly in the fourth round but the 24-year-old from Portland, Ore., managed to stay on his feet. "He was just very fast," Manfredo said. "He was catching me with that right hand all night long." . . .
