The National BMX Hall of Fame 2010 inductees have been announced and the 26th annual ceremony will be held Thursday September 16,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 2010,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], at the San Diego Hall of Champions in San Diego,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], California. />Inductees for the 2010 Hall of Fame include:
/>BMX Racer - Steve Veltman - The first rider to win the ABA National number 1 amateur and cruiser titles in the same year of 1982,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Also winning many elite titles over the course of his career,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
/>BMX Industry - Craig "gOrk" Barrette - Raced national level,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], UBR national number 1 three years running; rode and promoted freestyle shows.
/>Special Recognition - Linda Dorsey - Honoring announcer Linda Dorsey with her clever wit was legendary on the NBL circuit,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Linda passed away from cancer in 2008 but announced until three months before the end of her life.
/>Special Recognition - Al Fritz. Father of the Schwinn Sting Ray - Al Fritz worked his way up from the welding line of Schwinn to become the number two man and a member of the Board of Directors at Schwinn Bicycle Company. Ultimately launching the Schwinn Sting-Ray,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], every BMX bike on today's track and trails can be traced back to the roots of the first Sting-Ray built by Al Fritz in 1963."The National BMX Hall of Fame,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], founded in 1985 as the "ABA BMX Hall of Fame,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," has established a mission to further the sport of BMX by helping future generations remember the champions,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], heroes and thought-leaders who shaped the sport over history.
