Getty ImagesIt's a little silly to talk about who's leading the league in rushing after a grand total of seven preseason games have been played. But I'm in a silly mood, so I'll go ahead and point out that Seahawks rookie Christine Michael is currently the NFL's rushing leader. With 16 carries for 89 yards in his preseason debut against the Chargers, Michael impressed Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, who said he liked the mix of tough running and breakaway speed that Michael showed off.“He bounced the ball well outside on his long run – had a couple of nice runs, Carroll said, via the News Tribune. He’s got a long way to go, but he ran hard, looked quick and made some guys miss. So I think it’s a very good first game for him.”A second-round draft pick, Michael isn't competing for a starting job, as that job belongs to Marshawn Lynch. But Michael, who can also return kickoffs, is making a case that he deserves to get the ball in his hands often when the season starts.
