Alleged biter James Graham will have four matches of possible ban served before NRL season starts

The issue has been a murky one for years,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with some officials calling for uniformity. "It was supposed to be sorted out when the commission came in,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but it hasn't," said one.
ARL Commission head of football operations Nathan McGuirk said: "Any clarification that is required about the final calculation of a players suspension will be determined by the judiciary chairman There are guidelines to which matches will and won't count towards any suspension,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], however the judiciary chairman has a final discretion as to the calculation of a players suspension."
Under former chairman Greg Woods, trial matches and internationals have usually counted as part of suspensions handed down late in the year.
Graham's not guilty plea has baffled many.
Video footage of the incident of him trying to chew Slater's ear, Mike Tyson-style, has become a You Tube sensation. That Slater immediately made an official complaint and Bulldogs captain Michael Ennis acknowledged at the time there was blood on the Storm fullback's ear will also be a factor.

If Graham is found guilty,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], his decision to contest the charge will also determine the length of his suspension.
Greenberg said the image being painted of the English import was in stark contrast to the man his teammates had come to know.
"James has been absolutely outstanding for us in 2012,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," he said.
