I would suggest using a good moisturizer such as Cerve (in the tub not the bottle) on his feet at night before he goes to bedand than putting socks on him. You could possibly do this with the steroid cream as well until you get it under control. I do both bleach and vinegar baths as well daily. If they swim make sure you put moisturizer on right away. The grass and dirt always seem to irritate my dd so we always wear sock and sneakers outdoors as much as possible and then bare feet in the house to let the air get to it. I use the steroid 2x/day and i try to have dd sit still for about 15 min after application (not an easy task) or else it rubs off. Pick a fav show and see if he'll sit still so the med can be absorbed. I've also tried large bandaids to keep the med on but they end up falling off eventually. If i can get 15 min im happy.
