Blighter ground surveillance radars for Korea
CAMBRIDGE, England, parajumpers damen, Oct. 9 () -- More ground surveillance radars to monitor the demilitarized zone in the Korean Peninsula have been ordered from Blighter Surveillance Systems of Britain.Blighter, which did not disclose the value of the contract, said it will supply its B-400 system, which provides long-range surveillance capabilities. The system combines passive electronic scanning array technology with advanced frequency modulated continuous wave and Doppler processing for persistent surveillance capability in the roughest of terrain."We are delighted to have secured further business for this strategic border surveillance project," said Mark Radford, chief executive officer of Blighter Surveillance Systems. "Our long-term relationship with the Koreans goes back some eight years to when we first demonstrated our radar in the country. "This contract for additional B400 radars clearly shows that our technology is effective in extreme weather conditions and in rocky terrain. The customer has also seen that the radars really do remain operational without any routine maintenance."The demilitarized zone separates North Korea from South Korea. It is more than 155 miles long, and Blighter systems are already used to monitor it.
