Tickets are still available for an annual fundraising event supporting the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation and hosted by City of Mississauga Ward 6 Councillor Ron Starr,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
The seventh annual Starr's on the Credit fundraiser takes place Sept. 13 at the home of Starr and his wife,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Elaine. All proceeds raised at the popular event will support geriatric programs at Credit Valley's emergency room.
The casual dining event is held in the backyard of the Starrs' home. Some 300 guests are expected,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], including several Mississauga dignitaries and business professionals.
This year's theme honours the doctors and nurses at Credit Valley who work tirelessly to ensure the community is provided with the best possible healthcare,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. The event is dubbed Scrubs and Sneakers Under the Stars and will give those in attendance a chance to show up wearing their best sneakers while enjoying food from a variety of Mississauga restaurants,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
