The markets were closed Monday for Presidents Day.Silver also was down, off 43 cents to end the trading session at $29.42 an ounce.Against the euro, the dollar was $1.3387 from $1.3362 on Friday. Against the yen, the dollar was 93.54 yen Tuesday from 93.52 yen Friday.The British pound was $1.5423 from $1.5516 Friday. The U.S. dollar was 1.0118 Canadian dollars from 1.0064 Canadian dollars Friday.
