And what do I see in the window but this beautiful black waxed cotton jacket that was so different in look yet so familiar in construction to all the Barbour jackets that I had seen before? The International is a beast; it made of heavy weight 100% waxed cotton with solid brass YKK zippers and buttons. While cotton is not your normal water proof material,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the magic is in the wax finish that is applied to the jacket during construction. When you pick up any Barbour for the first time,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you will notice the slightly tacking feeling of the wax sitting on top of the cotton. As you break in the coat, the wax penetrates the cotton fibers and makes the coat damn near water and wind proof no matter if you riding at top speed in a rain storm,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], lying in a grassy field or just working around the yard on a fine soft day.
