are highly-rated and are [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] unique in their experience. When planning your trip always be sure to find the best .
There are a number of instruments traditionally used in Peru but few are as ubiquitous in the music of the Andes as the panpipes. They have been found all over the Americas, as far north as Canada but believed to have originated in Peru, at least as far back as 4200 BC. The earliest example found which dated from that period was discovered in Cahuachi, Peru.
Although we refer to the instruments as pan pipes, in reference to the Greek god, [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] Pan, in Peru they are called sikú, zampoña [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] or antara. They are made from hollow canes or reeds which are cut to a specific length and tied together. They can have one, two or three rows of tubes. The note that each tube and panpipe will make depends on how long and thick the reeds that are used.
The sikú normally has two rows and can be made different sizes which [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] are usually tuned an octave apart from one another. The largest of them is called a Toyo, the longest pipe of which can be around 120 centimeters in length. Although they come in relatively standard sizes now, at one time they would vary from region to region, sometimes from community to community.
There is a sikú called the tabla that has each reed cut to the same length, making it rectangular shaped but with stoppers inside the reeds to change the resonant length. Other types of sikús can put extra reeds in front that are open-ended as a way of changing the sound.
The scale used is a diatonic one. To play a complete scale, one has to alternate rows. Traditionally, two musicians would play the [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] sikú, dividing the playing of the two rows between each other. One row is considered the ira, representing male energy while the other represents arka, or female energy. While this divided method of playing [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] is still seen, it's more common to see one person playing both of the rows.
It is still common to hear traditional folkloric music played on these pipes, particularly in the countryside or in touristic areas such as Cusco. One will also hear popular modern tunes such as The Eagle's Hotel California recorded with the addition of panpipes.
This instrument has a way of dividing people from other countries. Some find it quaint while others absolutely detest it. Of course, this can also depend on not just the skill but also [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] the passion of the musician. There are, unfortunately, some groups that [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] wander from restaurant playing solely as a way to make money as opposed to it coming from the heart.
There are also a number of Andean rock bands that [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] use the typical rock instruments of [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] guitars, [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] bass [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] and drums but add in traditional instruments such as the panpipes. As has been found with Jethro Tull's use of the European style of flute, it is a combination that works extremely well.
