Five people might have died recently after drinking Monster Energy,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a well known energy drink that's full of caffeine,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], based on incident reports by the Food and Drug Administration.

The records were recently obtained underneath the Freedom of Information Act by the mother of a 14-year-old Maryland girl who died in December from the heart arrhythmia after drinking large cans of Monster Energy on two consecutive days.

The reports don't explain if the incidents involved other factors, like alcohol or drugs. However,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the number of reports the FDA receives about any product it regulates usually understates by a degree the actual quantity of problems.
Inside a statement,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Burgess said it was down to energy drink manufacturers to investigate accusations of death or injuries related to them.
