WASHINGTON, March 22 () -- Danish firm tc electronic is recalling 388 bass guitar amplifiers due to an electric shock hazard, U.S. regulators said. The amplifiers were imported by TC Group Americas of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. They were sold in U.S. music stores nationwide from August 2012 through January 2013 for about $450.The recall involves 250 W guitar amplifiers with model BH2050 and serial numbers 1204763 through 12404375.The amplifiers are 8.6 inches wide, 2.5 inches high and 9 inches deep. The front panels of the amplifiers are red. The model and "tc electronic" are printed on the front. The serial numbers are on the back of the amplifier.A nut inside the amplifier can come loose and fall between the electric coils, increasing the risk of an electric shock, the commission said.Consumers were advised to stop using the amplifiers and contact tc electronics for instructions on free shipping and repairs.Consumers can call 800-349-4699 for information.
