BEFORE you buy Danskos read first
For all of us Dansko lovers be advised that Dansko is no longer being made by the same people. As of 2008,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Danskos are being produced in China. It was a part of a split between Sanita (the makers of Dansko shoes) and Dansko. Dansko lost the patent to make the Sanita Clog shoe.
Anyway I bought a pair of Dansko and Sanita's,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], same style and size, and put them on. I wanted to see if there was any difference. According to Dansko they've improved the shoe. The difference was very noticeable. I sent the Dansko's back and kept the Sanitas. If you have a square around the Dansko logo and a patent number on the sole, then you have the original Dansko. If there is no square on the bottom and no patent number,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], then you have the Chinese knock-off. They fit different too. Used to wear a 38,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], now 39. The salesperson said they were made by a different company a few years back.
Actually your half right slapnuts. parts are made elsewhere but the assembly is done,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for most cars even kia and hyundai,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], in the us. I drive past the assembly plants regularly and even if the parts are made elsewhere its nice to see that kia and hyundai have brought some jobs to this country other than on the sales floor. Even if its not in our local area. True they probably dont pay a whole lot and probably use mexicans to assemble the vehicles but if americans didnt think they "deserved" to be overpaid and unionized to turn a nut then Im sure we wouldnt have had to have our government bail out the big auto manufacturers. I bought a pair of ecco sneakers. Im not sure where they're made exactly but they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. They've been well worth the $180 I paid for them and would drop another $180 in a heartbeat for another pair. I do believe they are euopean made and if you buy them they do run about a size small . The salesgirl in phoenix told me they do run about a size small so if you do decide to try them remember to order a size up. Before I bought these I had gotten a pair of new balance which I have had before but never again. I dont know what was wrong with this particular pair of nb but I couldnt walk in them or even wear them when I was just driving. my feet,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], legs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], hips,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], back and even my neck hurt so bad in those shoes. i tried them out for walking and barely got back from that excursion so I figured they needed a little more break in so I only wore them a few hrs a day fir a couple weeks. the more I wore them the worse they got. My feet and legs would be hurting so bad just from wearing them for an hrs drive. I got the eccos and havent had any pain since.
