UNC's Zeller named ACC player of the year,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
North Carolina forward Tyler Zeller on Tuesday was named the ACC men basketball player of the year, and he became the first Tar Heels senior to win the award since Phil Ford in 1978.

By winning player of the year honors, meanwhile, a banner with Zeller name and jersey number will hang in the Smith Center. He finished with double-doubles double-digit totals in points and rebounds seven times in ACC play.
Voting members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association decided the ACC awards. Henson received 56 of the 62 votes cast for defensive player of the year.
